S3 Hospitality pupils from Charleston Academy had a wonderful experience at Rocpool Reserve Hotel in Inverness on Wednesday 8 February.
Students and staff were guests of Mr Albert Roux OBE and chef Michael Matheson of Chez Roux Restaurants and the Albert Roux Consultancy to celebrate Chefs Adopt A School Week.
Pupils were able to experience and appreciate how the hotel and restaurant are run and to interact with staff from the kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping and management.
After watching and then sampling “Mocktails” expertly prepared in the bar, seeing the deluxe suites complete with sauna and jacuzzi, everyone was then treated to a fabulous and specially prepared afternoon tea. This was followed by a tasting session of the restaurant’s most popular starter, main course and dessert.
