UHI Visit

On Tuesday 5th October, three of our pupils visited the UHI campus in Inverness. Caithin Forster (4L1), Kelly Marie MacUilliam (4K1) and Timothy Betts (6T) were accompanied by Mrs F Marshall and Miss L Gray.

The purpose of the visit was for the pupils to take photos of the area whilst also having the opportunity to look around the campus with a view to the pupils transitioning to UHI when they leave Charleston Academy. The pupils were very impressed with the facilities in the building including the library and learning resources areas, the gym facilities and the Construction Skills area.

The pupils were also inspired by the variety of courses that students can undertake at UHI and one of the highlights of our visit was meeting former Charleston Academy pupil Emily, who is currently studying Art at UHI. We had the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a student by have a snack in the refectory. After this, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the campus and visit the Centre for Health Science building. The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
