Science Demo Day

For the British Science Association’s Science Week, our Science Club put on a range of demonstrations for Primary 7 pupils from our Associated Schools. It was a pleasure to welcome Primary 7 pupils from Kirkhill Primary, Beauly Primary, Muirtown Primary and Kinmylies Primary on Thursday afternoon.

They were treated to an exciting range of wacky demos by our Science Club. Our Science Club is run by our Science Technician Mrs Pam Hamilton with a group of Science Prefects for S1 members. Yesterday Pam was joined by Janette Taylor from Inverness High School who assisted with setting up the demos.

We were also joined by Dr Evelyn Gray STEM Ambassador and Dr Margaret Ritchie, Pedagogical Lead for Science in Highland.

The team were assisted by our S6 Science Prefects who put on a fantastic display, themselves assisted by S1 pupils who were thrilled to be able to demo some of their work to younger pupils from their former primary pupils.

Well done everyone – it was a fantastic afternoon. Videos of some of the demos and of the Mechanoid are on our Twitter Timeline.
