Charleston Academy 3 – 1 Golspie High School
Charleston bounced back from a heavy 5-0 defeat vs Fortrose last week with a morale boosting and well deserved 3-1 win against a tough tackling Golspie High School team. Goals from Fraser G MacKenzie (5S2), William Robertson (5T1) and Jake Fraser-Lee (4S2) were enough to overcome the physical Golspie side and earn Charleston the 3 points. Charleston play Golspie in the returning away fixture next week and will be looking for a similarly positive result.

Charleston Academy 1-5 Millburn Academy
Charleston’s second league fixture of the campaign ended in defeat to a very strong Millburn Academy side. Millburn raced into a four goal lead in the first half with Charleston struggling to get to grips with the game. However, after regrouping a half time, Charleston took the game to Millburn and dominated proceedings in the second half. A goal by Ethan Brown gave Charleston a glimmer of hope after 50 minutes but Millburn scored late on to ensure they came away with the 3points.

Charleston Academy 6-6 Golspie High School
Charleston and Golspie played out a thrilling 6-6 draw in the third league fixture of the campaign. In a game with many twists and turns, Charleston were unfortunate not to come away with a win after creating some good chances throughout the match. However, some exceptional saves late on by goalkeeper Aiden Reid (S1) and solid defending by David Cameron (S1) ensured Charleston did come away from the game with a share of the spoils as Golspie looked to snatch a late winner.
