Highland Chef Competition

Hospitality Pupils were at the Burghfield House Hotel in Dornoch yesterday, taking part in the Highland Chef of the Year Competition. Mr Albert Roux and Mr Glen Watson from Albert Roux Consultancy were over-seeing proceedings, with chefs from all over the Highlands taking part.

Congratulations to Chef Victoria Edwards, a former pupil of Charleston Academy and her assistant for the day, Alexander Mackenzie (4L2), who won the competition this year.

All the other pupils taking part were given a real insight into cooking at this competitive level with some of the best chefs from across the highlands.
