Senior Football: Lochaber High School v Charleston Academy

Lochaber High School 1-1 Charleston Academy

Charleston picked up a good point away from home in their second league match vs Lochaber High School. Lochaber had the first chance of the half and would have scored had it not been for James Hogan’s excellent headed clearance of the goal line keeping the score at 0-0. Charleston then started to create more chances and took the lead when Colin MacDonald (S6) ran onto a through ball to round the goalkeeper and bundle the ball in for a 1-0 lead. Moving into the second half, Lochaber began to put pressure on the Charleston defence and although Lochaber missed a penalty midway through the second half, they finally got an equaliser 10 minutes from time. Charleston then pushed on in the last ten minutes in search of a winning goal and although Ronan Cousins, Robbie MacLennan and Jack Hosie all had efforts on goal, the Lochaber goalkeeper made some good saves and Charleston had to settle for a point away from home.
