Highlife Highland

As a Community School, and being part of a Community Campus, Charleston Academy works in close partnership with Highlife Highland. Highlife Highland is a charity and arms length organisation of the Highland Council established in October 2011 to promote  opportunities in culture, learning, sport, leisure, health and wellbeing.

The facilities within our community building are managed by Highlife Highland Facilities Manager, Mrs Fran Davidson, a Campus Management Committee, and a Strategy Group to promote adult and community learning throughout the school catchment area. In addition, our Youth Development Officer, Nikki Mowat, works with us in school to plan and develop many of the activities on offer, including arrangements for Pupil Voice and our S1 Summer Transition Programme.

Charleston Academy and Highlife Highland share the facilities of the community campus, which is also home to the Inverness branch of the Highland Football Academy. When our facilities are not being used by the school they are available, normally after 4pm, to community groups to let.
