History interpreter visit

On Thursday 13th December Paul Lang, a historical interpreter who normally works with Historic Scotland, came to visit the school.  In the morning he gave a presentation on the Jacobites to S1 and in the afternoon he gave a presentation on the Scottish wars of Independence to S3 classes. S1 pupils reported that they thought “it was educational whilst being exciting at the end with the weapons.  He told us a lot about the redcoats and Jacobites and the weapons were cool” and “I enjoyed when he talked about the tools and weapons and how to use them. One of my favourite parts were when he did the way how to dress themselves in the uniform,.”.  S3 were also impressed, saying that the presentations were interesting and “a good experience” and “he gave loads of facts and the weapons were cool”.
