Samantha COCHRANE took part in a Speaking competition for Advanced Higher French pupils.

Entries consisted of a 5 minute digital audio recording of a discussion with their teacher.  The students were assessed by a panel including experienced SQA assessors and members of AMOPA – Ecosse, many of whom were native speakers.

AMOPA – Ecosse is the Association of Members of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques in Scotland.

Philip E. Bennett, Emeritus Professor (Medieval French), School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures, Edinburgh, came to Inverness Royal Academy to award S6 pupils with certificates.

Congratulations to Samantha, who was highly commended for her performance.
