Art and Design Workshops

On Thursday 8th of September ex-student and friend of the Art & Design department Colin Dunphy visited the school to deliver a short workshop to senior students who are currently engaging with their Advanced Higher / Portfolio Preparation course.

This visit proved to be yet another inspiring session for our students who were required to engage with an Art School style task focusing on creative drawing skills. Students were also given time to take part in a Q & A session with Colin who was available to answer any questions in regards to student life, Art School, projects, accommodation, cost etc.

Beth Fraser was asked to comment on the workshop.

”Colin Dunphy visited our group to present a creative drawing workshop which was highly inspiring and gave us an insight to the quality and volume of work required at University level. This workshop was extremely helpful and also gave our group a chance to ask Colin questions about his course and what university life is like”.

Mr Sim would like to take this opportunity to thank Colin for making the time to engage and inspire this year’s current seniors.

Mr Derek Sim, Acting Principal Teacher of Art & Design
