Charleston Knights 30 – 0 Culloden Raptors
The Charleston Knights continued their excellent season with two more hard fought victories in week 3 of the Highland Academy Community League. The Knights now move to a record of 6 wins out of 6, and have already secured their place in this years final, the Highland Bowl.
The first match was a rematch of an encounter from the previous week. The final scoreline of 30-0 showed the Knights dominance. The points were scored on touchdowns from wide receiver Reece Stewart, center Fergus McIntyre, and running backs Craig Robertson and Anthony Arenas, who won the match MVP for his two touchdown performance.
Charleston Knights 22- 18 Millburn Academy Eagles
The second match was a much closer encounter, with the Millburn Eagles making life very tough indeed for the Knights. Charleston had to overcome a deficit in the game to run out winners in the end by a score of 22-18, to maintain their unbeaten record. The Knights scores came from touchdown receptions from receiver Reece Stewart, receiver Sam Mackeddie and center Fergus McIntyre.
This Saturday 5 March the Knights look to continue their unbeaten run with 2 more matches against the Black Isle Stags and the Inverness High School Predators, at Bught park, at 12.30 and 2.30 respectively. The following Saturday 12 March the Knights are already guaranteed a place in their second consecutive Highland Bowl appearance. The final is scheduled to kick off at 1pm at Bught Park.
