Our Boxing Club, which is run in partnership with Police Scotland and the Highland Boxing Academy has now been running for three years. The initiative has been so successful it has caught the eye of local councillors and politicians. Yesterday the Boxing Club put on a demonstration session over lunchtime.
The demonstration was attended by Police Scotland Chief Superintendent Julian Innes, Rector Chris O’Neill and local councillors. Councillor Graham Ross attended the demonstration – his Ward of Inverness West has made a significant contribution to the club through Discretionary Funding.
The success of our Boxing Club means other schools have now set up a similar partnership. Millburn Academy and Dingwall Academy were also represented at the demonstration yesterday.
Well done to all the Charleston Academy boxers for being exemplary role models in front of all the guests.
