Climbing Club Summer Trip

On the last week of the Summer Holiday Charleston Academy’s Climbing Club headed off for the 2015 Climbing Club Summer Trip. After a fantastic trip to Mull in 2014 the bar was well and truly raised. Six brilliant days of climbing, camping and walking at Ardnamurchan, Canna and Rum were enjoyed by the club members.

Our Climbing Club is one of, if not the, leading local authority school climbing clubs in Scotland. The pupils and staff were afforded the opportunity of a fantastic trip, one not available to many pupils outwith the private school system in Scotland. We are really fortunate to have such a club at Charleston Academy, ably led by Mr Jonathan Richards.

Pupils on the trip:  Patrick Morris S3, Rebekah Morris S6, Rory Barker S3, Harry Barker S6, Calum Finlayson S6, Ronan Hennessy S5 and Jenna Bisset S6

Staff:  Mr Nairn, Miss Massey and Mr Richards

Charleston Academy Climbing Club aims to give pupils a wide and varied experience of climbing by organising events that will challenge and develop climbing skills and promote enjoyment. For more information about the climbing club, see Mr Richards.
