MacKay Prize for Gaelic

Written by Charleston Academy on . Posted in Achievements, Curriculum

Meal a naidheachd air Liam Eaton 5T, a bhuannaich duais MhicAoidh am-bliadhna. ’S e duais a tha seo a bhios Comunn Gàidhlig Inbhir Nis a’ tabhann gach bliadhna do sgoilearan a bhios fìor shoirbheachail nan ionnsachadh, mar chuimhneachan air Ruairidh MacAoidh. Tha Liam glè airidh air an duais seo.  Tha e air obair ionmholta a dhèanamh rè na bliadhna agus shuidh e Ard-ìre (luchd-ionnsachaidh) anns an Ogmhìos.

Congratulations to Liam Eaton 5T, who was awarded the MacKay prize this year. This is awarded annually by the Gaelic Society of Inverness to the pupil who is most successful in his/her learning, in memory of the prominent Inverness Solicitor, Ruairidh MacKay.  Liam sat Higher Gaelic (Learners) in May and he has been an exemplary Gaelic pupil who is thoroughly deserving of this award.

Ms Yvonne Gunn, Principal Teacher of Gaelic.
