Crown Office National Speaking Competition

Two Charleston Academy pupils are heading to Glasgow today, Tuesday, to take part in the Final of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service National Public Speaking Competition 2015. Having won the Highland and then the North of Scotland heats, Morvern Carmichael (4S2) and Cameron Cochrane (3T2) are competing against Shawlands Academy and Auchmuty High School today. The Final takes place early this evening at Glasgow Sheriff Court. The prestigious panel of judges includes Lesley Thomson QC, Solicitor General for Scotland, Alex Prentice QC, Principal Crown Counsel for Scotland and John Dunn, Procurator Fiscal for East Scotland.
