HACL American Football Final

Written by Charleston Academy on . Posted in Achievements, Wider Curriculum

Last weekend our recently formed American Football Team played in the final of the Highland Academy Community League. Charleston Knights were up agains the High School Predators. Entering the final second in the league Charleston Academy knew they were up against the strongest and longest established team in the league. The final score was a disappointing 31-6. But considering the team have only existed for one season, their determination and resolve will place them in a good position to push further next season.

Inverness High School Predators 31 – 6 Charleston Academy Knights

It was an aggressive game and two Charleston Academy pupils required first aid after the match. Sam Blackmore and Lewis Hilditch weren’t available for all the post match photos but both boys were given the all-clear. Congratulations to the team for doing so well in the league and to Mr Donald MacLeod in Biology who inspired the formation of and then coached the team.
