On Tuesday night Charleston Academy held it’s 2013 S1 Art Exhibition. Our judges Frances Baxter and Claire Blois did a thorough job of picking out 7 winners from 140 pieces of S1 Art work.
Best Observed Drawing – Jade Wilson
Most Eyecatching – Demi Harrower
Best Use of Colour – Brandon Fraser
Most Original – Jack Waddinton
Best Composition – Annie MacLean
Most Creative – Jayden Westward
Overall Winner – Robert Thorne
Each category winner has won two tickets to Vue Cinema and the overall winner has won gift vouchers for the Eastgate centre.
Thanks to the Home Economics Department for their display of Christmas Tree decorations and Mr Hay and his String Group for their excellent performance.
Thanks also to the Fair Trade Committee for serving the Teas and Coffees, Science Club for their display, and our Prefect Team for helping out.
Thanks to the Stall holders for their participation and excellent array of crafts and ‘cakes’ for sale.
Thanks to the PC for organising the prizes and the raffle, and for their support and encouragement, for organising this annual event, and making contact with Vue Cinema.
Robert Thorne’s winning picture will soon be exhibited at the Vue Cinema in the Inverness Retail Park and Mr O’Neill’s Office, as well as on the Pupil Planner 2014 – 2015
