On Saturday 2nd November the Charleston Bears took part in the IJHC Secondary Tournament. The hockey team consisted of Kieran Hennessy (captain), Josh Malcolm, Ross Watson, Stuart Hamilton, Jonathan Janzack (goal), Alice Fraser, Sophie Fraser, Eilidh Maccormick, Eilidh Morrison, Laurie Mcphee, Amy Riddle and Nicola Rattery. In our league we won all four games with only one goal being let in the whole way through. Winning all of the games by 3-0 or more we moved onto the top league where we won all games except for the last where we drew with Millburn A.

Millburn have won the Inveross Cup many years before and we are the first team to beat them in so long – it feels like it’s quite an achievement. Thank you to all the players and a special thank you to one of our parents, Laura Burns, for giving up her time and coaching the team. It was an excellent day, we can’t wait to play again in April.
