As part of our British Council Connecting Classrooms Programme, Charleston Academy is hosting two exchange teachers from Botswana this week and next. Mr Seloke (Art) and Ms Didimalang (Biology) left Botswana on Tuesday and will be working at Charleston Academy over the next week. Returning with them to Botswana towards the end of term will be two Charleston Academy teachers, Ms Sutherland (PT Chemistry) and Mrs Sutherland (Art). They will spend a week teaching at our partner school in Botswana, Lotsane Senior Secondary School.

Mr Seloke and Ms Didimalang spent their first teaching day at Charleston working in their respective departments. At lunchtime they met Charleston Academy pupils who are visiting Botswana and Lotsane for two weeks next summer. They spent lunchtime developing their language skills and getting to grips with formal and informal ways of greeting in Botswana.

Earlier in the day our guests were delighted to meet Inverness West Ward Manager, Mr Stewart Wardlaw.
