DSC01083At the end of last session, S2 Gaelic pupils entered a national competition run by CLAS (the professional association of secondary Gaelic teachers), in which they wrote about their likes and dislikes.  We were delighted that a pupil from Charleston Academy, Danielle Sanders (now 3K1) won this prestigious national award.  Danielle’s entry was published in a booklet which has been distributed to all secondary schools that took part.  In the photo, you can see Danielle with her certificate and a voucher worth £50, along with the other Charleston Academy pupils whose work was commended:  Joanna Renwick, Mia Geddes, Kirsty Hedderwick, Rhianna Day, Jade McCabe, Elise Lyall, Shona Graham-Taylor, Sirena Rattray and Jordan Zblewski.  Congratulations to you all!

Aig deireadh na bliadhna sgoile a chaidh, chuir sgoilearan na dàrna bliadhna a-staigh airson farpais sgrìobhaidh CLAS, le pìosan sgrìobhaidh mu na rudan as toigh agus nach toigh leotha.  Bha sinn air leth toilichte gun do bhuannaich sgoilear à Acadamaidh Bhaile Theàrlaich, Danielle Sanders (a-nis 3K1) a’ chiad duais anns an fharpais shònraichte nàiseanta seo.  Chaidh an sgrìobhadh aig Danielle fhoillseachadh ann an leabhran a chaidh a sgaoileadh gu gach àrd-sgoil a ghabh pàirt.  Anns an dealbh, chithear Danielle leis an teisteanas aice agus eàrlas luach £50, agus na sgoilearan eile a chaidh am moladh anns an fharpais:  Seonag Renwick, Mia Geddes, Ciorstaidh Hedderwick, Rhianna Day, Jade NicCaba, Ealasaid Lyall, Seòna Ghreumach-Nic an Tàilleir, Sirena Rattray agus Iòrdan Zblewski.  Mealaibh ur naidheachd!
